Terms of Service

The short version

Buy a licence, get the software, use it to build things. Don't resell it, don't crack it, don't use it to do harm. That's the spirit of it. The rest of this page is the formal version.

1. The licence

Restroom grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the software on devices you own or control. The Free tier is granted indefinitely at no cost. Pro and Team licences are granted for the duration of your active subscription, or permanently in the case of a Lifetime Pro purchase.

Lifetime Pro means exactly what it says: you own that version and all future updates, forever, with no further payment required.

2. Acceptable use

You may not use Restroom to:

• ✕ Test or attack systems you don't have explicit authorisation to test
• ✕ Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or access controls on third-party services
• ✕ Distribute the software or your licence key to others
• ✕ Reverse-engineer the licence validation mechanism

3. Team licences

Team plans are licensed per seat. Each seat may be used by one individual. Seats can be reassigned if a team member leaves. A minimum of 2 seats is required. You are responsible for ensuring your team's usage stays within your purchased seat count.

4. Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. Annual and monthly plans renew automatically and can be cancelled at any time from your customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We offer a 14-day refund on annual and Lifetime purchases if Restroom genuinely doesn't work for you. Contact hello@restroom.dev within 14 days of purchase.

5. Updates and continuity

We intend to keep Restroom maintained and updated for the long term. That said, we cannot guarantee the software will be available indefinitely, and we reserve the right to discontinue it with reasonable notice. In the event of discontinuation, your last downloaded version remains yours to use.

6. Warranty disclaimer

Restroom is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. Use it in production infrastructure at your own judgement and risk.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Restroom's liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the amount you paid for your licence in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to these terms

We'll notify licence holders by email of any material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the software after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
